Physiotherapy Services for Canadian Refugees in Toronto and Scarborough
We are proud to offer physiotherapy and chiropractic care to Canadian refugees. If you are a person with refugee status or a refugee claimant status, you may be eligible for physiotherapy services through the Interim Federal Health Program.
The Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) is a federal program aimed to help eligible Canadian refugees by paying for medical services, which include physiotherapy services, also covering for medical and assisted devices.
At Wilcox Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic, we are a registered service provider, able to provide services and treatments covered by the IFHP. We will take care of all of the paperwork, so that you can focus on your rehabilitation.
How It Works
Obtain a physician referral. If you have trouble finding a family physician let us know and we can direct you to available resources, including virtual physicians.
Once you have your referral, let our office know and we will take the appropriate steps to obtain your pre-authorized treatment sessions.
Once everything is approved, we will give you a call to book your appointment. We will take care of the entire process, including submitting the claims for reimbursement. We offer direct billing, meaning you won’t have to pay for anything!
